Agnon, gourmets! Today we are preparing a popular snack from the streets of South Korea – a corn dog! Let’s tell you how to cook the dough for a corn dog and what a Korean corn dog is in general.
Koreans love Korn dog and it can be found everywhere. This dish is very similar to a Russian sausage in a dough. In Korea, they don’t like the American version of the hot dog.
The recipe is simple: we make homemade dough for a corn dog, wait until the dough rises, roll the sausage on a skewer in dough and breading and fry in boiling oil. You can pour mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise or any other sauce.

Ingredients
- Beef sausages
- Water
- Sugar
- Yeast
- Salt
- Flour
- Breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Dough for corn dogs
In a cup, mix warm water and sugar. The sugar should completely dissolve in water. The water should be exactly warm – 30 degrees, otherwise the yeast will cook and will not be active.
Next, add the yeast and let it stand for 5 minutes.
Add salt and flour, mix until smooth. Let the dough rest and rise for 1 hour.
How to cook a corn dog
We string the sausages on skewers. Dip the sausages into the finished dough (wipe them from moisture in advance), distribute the dough over the entire surface of the sausage. Roll the sausages in breadcrumbs. Fry in boiling oil (we used a deep fryer) until golden brown. Sprinkle the corn dogs with your favorite sauces!
