How to cook Italian fish?

Let’s start with the fact that for cooking we will need white varieties of fish for this dish. We took a fillet of cod without bones and skin. You can also take any other white fish: haddock, hake, catfish, whiting, pollock, pangasius. In general, there is a lot to choose from and cook our dish. We remove the bones and skin from the fish. Cut into small pieces.

We will prepare a kind of filling sauce to give an interesting taste to the fish.
Ingredients:

  • tenderness and nutrition from butter and cream
  • piquancy from garlic and dijon mustard
  • the aroma of lemon zest and juice
    Mix all this and pour our fish into the pan. We send it to the oven for 15 minutes and while the fish is cooking, we prepare a side dish to your taste.

The taste and aroma of fish in the oven is simply incredible. In each piece there is a hint of lemon flavor, the tenderness of the fish itself, creaminess permeated the entire texture of the dish. This combination can be combined with a side dish of bulgur, couscous, quinoa, brown or red rice.

Italian Baked Fish

Ingredients:

Garlic — 3 cloves
Cod fillet — 500 grams
Lemon zest — 5 grams
Lemon juice — 1 tablespoon
Butter — 60 grams
Dijon mustard — 1 tablespoon
Cream (20% fat content) — 60 ml
Salt — 1 teaspoon
Ground black pepper — ½ teaspoon

Directions:

1. Peel and finely grate the garlic.
2. Mix butter with lemon zest, lemon juice, garlic, mustard, cream, salt and ground pepper.
3. Heat the mixture of ingredients over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. A homogeneous mass should be obtained.
4. Grease the baking tray with vegetable oil. Lay out the cod fillets. Add salt to taste. Pepper to taste.
5. Pour the mixture over the pan with the fish. The fish must be completely covered.
6. Bake the fish in the oven at 180°C (356°F) for 12-15 minutes.
