Tzatziki Sauce

What is Tzatziki Sauce?

Tzatziki Sauce is a Greek cream sauce from the island of Paros. The sauce is incredibly easy to prepare, perfect for vegetables and fried meat. The composition of the sauce includes grated cucumbers, lemon juice, garlic and light yogurt. This is the base of the sauce and it is perfect. Fresh and fragrant sauce will complement dishes of meat, vegetables and even just spread on warm bread.

The peculiarity lies in the fact that grated cucumbers, on a coarse or fine grater, should be put in a thick napkin and squeeze out all the juice. Instead of a napkin, you can simply squeeze the juice with both hands for as long as your strength is enough. Next, mix the remaining ingredients and the sauce is ready.
