Japanese Chicken Yakitori

How to make Japanese Chicken Yakitori?

Japanese Chicken Yakitori is a traditional dish of Japanese cuisine. Yakitori is something more than a chicken kebab. In Japan, there are specially restaurants that serve only chicken kebabs and ice beer. Good news for those who have not been to Japan — we will cook this dish at home! We will need chicken fillet or shin without bones and skin, a little soy sauce, garlic and ginger. We will keep the chicken in the marinade for about an hour, so it will be completely soaked and the taste will be impeccable. We will cook on an electric grill, if you have a grill with an open fire, then the skewers must be soaked in water or wine.

Ingredients:

Garlic — 4 cloves
Fresh ginger — 25 grams
Soy sauce — 130 ml
Sugar — 2 teaspoons
Chicken breast — 1.2 kg

Directions:

1. Garlic and ginger are cleaned and finely chopped.
2. Marinade: mix soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sugar.
3. Chicken fillet cut into pieces for one bite.
4. Fill the chicken fillet with half of the marinade. We send it to the refrigerator for 1 hour.
5. We put the marinated chicken on wooden skewers and grill it. If you have an open fire, then skewers can be soaked in water or wine in advance, so that they do not burn.
6. Pour out the marinade in which the chicken was.
7. With the remaining marinade, lubricate the barbecue during cooking, so the meat will be juicier and tastier.
Serving: Serve hot with soy sauce for dipping.
