Bonjour, gourmets! Today we are cooking gougers with cheese! Have you ever heard of such baking? We just found out about it and immediately decided to share with you the recipe for this delicious snack.
Gougers with cheese are ideal as a snack for wine or instead of the usual bread for soup.
Gouger is a French cheese bun made of custard dough, airy and addictive. This bun looks like profiteroles, but the filling is already inside. It is customary to make dough from cheese, but you can also add pieces of fried bacon, lightly salted salmon, hot chili pepper to the dough for lovers of savory snacks.
Gouger dough is made from simple ingredients that are always in your refrigerator: butter, eggs and cheese. The base of the dough is a mixture of water, butter and flour. The custard dough turns out creamy and thick, it’s hard to knead it with a wooden spatula. When you knead such a custard dough, your hand gets tired of intense movements.
