Cheese sticks

Hello, gourmets! Crispy cheese sticks are an incredibly cool snack for your favorite drinks. Breaded cheese sticks are usually sold in the store, but we decided to make them ourselves at home. The shape can be given both balls and cubes, as you like.

To prepare this snack, you will need about 1-2 liters of vegetable oil. You can bake them in the oven. but we cook deep-fried. Deep-fried chopsticks are cooked for 3-4 minutes. If you overdo it in boiling oil, then cheese flows out, which we initially did.

We took Mozzarella cheese in the store already in the form of ready-made sticks, but this version of cheese turned out to be a little runny when the dish was ready. It is better to take Mozzarella for pizza, and cut it into sticks by yourself, the melting point of such cheese is slightly higher than that of more creamy sticks.

It is possible to store sticks as semi-finished products in the freezer for several months. It is necessary to defrost in the refrigerator after deep freezing.

How to make cheese sticks at home

Ingredients

• Mozzarella cheese in sticks or a pizza briquette
• Breadcrumbs
• Chicken egg
• Flour
• Dried oregano
• Salt of the average fraction of crystals
• Vegetable oil for frying

Process

In a flat cup, beat the chicken egg, salt, dried oregano.
Pour flour and breadcrumbs onto separate plates.
Roll the sticks in flour from all sides. Next, dip the sticks in the egg mixture. Roll the sticks in breadcrumbs.
Put the cheese sticks in the freezer for about an hour.
In a new cup, break and shake another chicken egg.
Dip the breaded sticks in the egg mixture. Roll the sticks in breadcrumbs again.
And put the chopsticks in the freezer again.
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a deep saucepan. Fry the sticks in oil for 3-4 minutes. If you use a deep fryer, then cover the immersion grill with food foil and make several small holes so that the oil fills the foil and the sticks are completely immersed in the oil. So the leaking cheese will not flood the grate and it will be easier to pull out the sticks.

Serving: Serve the chopsticks hot with your favorite sauces, for example Ranch sauce is perfect.

11. Roll the sticks in breadcrumbs again.
12. Put the chopsticks back in the freezer for 30-60 minutes.
13. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a deep saucepan.
14. Fry the sticks in oil for 3-4 minutes. If you use a deep fryer, then cover the immersion grill with food foil and make several small holes so that the oil fills the foil and the sticks are completely immersed in the oil. So the leaking cheese will not flood the grate and it will be easier to pull out the sticks.
