German dumplings Maultaschen with mushrooms

Maultaschen they appeared in the 16th century in the south-west of Germany in the region of Swabia. Almost every family has its own recipe for this dish. To cook traditional German dumplings, we need to get some minced meat, bacon, you can take sausage, ordinary white onion, crushed ordinary breadcrumbs, sour cream and a little nutmeg. Germans love to add nutmeg to meat dishes, which gives a national character to German dishes.

Ingredients:

Oyster mushrooms — 330 grams
Salt — 1 pinch
Pepper — 1 pinch
Thyme — 2 pinches
Oregano — 1 tablespoon
Crackers (crushed) — 30 grams
Sour cream — 2 tablespoons

Directions:

1. Cut the mushrooms into small pieces.
2. Fry the mushrooms on high heat.
3. Add salt, pepper, thyme, oregano, breadcrumbs.
4. Add sour cream to the filling and mix.
5. Put the filling (1 tablespoon) on a pre-prepared sheet for the Maultaschen.
6. Grease the edges of the Maultaschen sheet with beaten egg.
7. Cover with a second sheet for the Maultaschen. Press the edges of the Maultaschen with a regular fork.
8. Cook in boiling water for 15-20 minutes.
